Why did they stop making the 2 door Tahoe/Yukon?

When I was a newlywed, these 2 door Yukon were all the rage. I was young and didn't have the money to buy one. Now, all my kids are grown and gone, I am more comfortable financially, & they are nowhere to be found. Loved those vehicles...

Because its alot easier to just open a door instead of trying to climb over the front seat like an idiot.

Haha I know they were a little uncomfortable to get in the back seat, but oike I said my kids are grown and gone.

They didn't get as good fuel economy. The shorter length created a smaller wind pocket and it was harder to maintain a steady 100mph (the most fuel efficient speed)

Try AutoTrader, either the app or the website. I've actually had the same thought as you and looked around before. You'll probably have to expand your search, but they're out there, and I've run across some in surprisingly good condition. They actually have held their value fairly well, and I've seen them listed as high as just under $10k.

GREAT QUESTION! If they made a new Denali version of this I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Now that I think about it, there aren't any two door SUVs around anymore. Jeep Wrangler is the only one I can think of now.

I still like the Z71 Tahoes though.

30% of the population is fat. Too hard to climb over the seats as was mentioned before. Doors are easier but less fun.

This is my daughter's Yukon with 35's. She is about to go bigger on the tires.

And yes, it's a beast in the mud.

96 was the first year of the two door Tahoe. Before that they were blazers.
