Why did Solagne and Alan Furguson get married in NOLA?

Apparently Jay Z and Beyonce were dancing in the streets of NOLA last night. For those that might not know Solange is Beyonce's sister and Ferguson is a video producer. Neither of them is from here. I understand the small wedding in an exotic location thing, but 200 people isn't exactly small and I generally think of a smaller more intimate vacation spot for something like a wedding or an absolute media mecca for a star.

Jay-Z and Beyonce have been in the city nearly ten times in the last year. May have a place here IDK.

NOLA is the number two, behind Vegas, wedding destination. Less paparazzi as well.

A big draw for celebrities is no one really gives a frick about you in Nola. If that was Vegas or LA the streets would've been packed with people and paparazzi.

Didn't know that. I'm actually surprised when I here about all of the Hollywood types who have residences and spend a lot of time here and you'd never know. The relatively big movie and music industry here with the relative lack of professional papparizi types here makes sense as a location that they would like.

I actually don't care. The TV happened to be on TMZ or something and I saw this. I had to look up who Furguson was and only know Solange's name in conjuction with her sister and brother in law. I could walk by her tomorrow and wouldn't recognoze her. If I walked by Jay Z and Beyonce I would recognize them, but would just walk by just the same.
