I loved the Publix in Navarre. I actually found they had great prices. A lot of their stuff is buy one get one free and it is a good deal if you were willing to pay a little more but get double. Not everyone wants 2 loaves of bread so I can see some issues but there are great deals to be had. It was incredibly clean and well staffed. I have a feeling if one moved to Baton Rouge it would be run down and have a different feel within a few months, unless they put it in Bocage or something.

If you're willing to sit around for when the things you need go on sale once every two months. I shop at Publix for small things, but let's not pretend Publix has decent prices

Not how bogo at Publix works.

If a loaf of bread is normally $3, it's $1.50 if it's bogo. Even if you only buy 1.

Everyone one in Florida realizes what great grocery store we have in Publix. No trashy customers and sometimes you can even get a sale.

Yep. The employees are great, too. Always in a good mood and happy to help should you need it. The stores are clean unlike most other chains, too.

My local publix has a special kid that bags the groceries.

For whatever reason he loves me and my wife and does the same rundown of questions when he sees us. I know his favorite answers so I just tell him those and he gets so pumped.

What's your favorite disney movie?
Who is your favorite president?
What's your favorite football team?

Every single time

They hire a lot of people with various disabilities, which I think is cool.

Randall's ranked worse than Winn-Dixie, Albertsons, or fricking Sams?

I think it's awesome. The kid is a character for sure.

On game days you can hear him "DOWN SET HUT" then he pushes the buggies like he is blocking. It's fantastic to see someone actually enjoy their job

Krogers seems to do that too with baggers. Sometimes they'll do a shitty job bagging but I don't sweat it.

We have a Publix here, and it's nice, but Harris Teeter is better. Now Lowes Foods is remodeling all their stores. They just did the one down the street from me and it's very nice. They're even putting in beer bars in them where you can sample different beers on tap, or buy and fill/refill jugs they have especially for beer.

Until you get one that threatens to sue you cause they hit their head on your hatchback while unloading groceries ( even though you warned them). The girl stormed off while cussing.
