Publix is super fricking expensive. Were you on drugs when you came to FL?

As cheap as Wal-Mart?
frick no

But it nowhere near "super fricking expensive", either. They are competitve with Winn Dixie or albertson's price-wise.

Publix is the shite. I would be just as happy if they brought a Rouses or Robert's to Baton Rouge though.

The point of shopping at Rouse's is to avoid the trash. Putting it on airline is counter intuitive. Nothing but car dealerships, mattress warehouses, and Chili's.

Publix stores are clean, well stocked, and organized. One of their ad campaigns was all based on how they wanted you to have an enjoyable, upscale shopping experience.

They put loss leaders on sale. Everything else is about 10-15% higher than other places.

They have an awesome stock option plan for their employees. Those who have worked there for about twenty-five years are up a little over $20/hour and have around a million in stock.

I'll go to Publix for their deli and fruit. Their bogo deals are good, but other than that it's Rapey expensive

Man, I miss those chicken finer pub subs. My wife detests grocery shopping in BR after living next to a Public, Kroger and Fresh Market in ATL for yrs. Love that place

1. They need close distribution to keep cost down.
They would have to pass up Al & Ms to come here.
2. Is the market already penetrated.
3. Do they have the capital.?
4. Do they have enough trained key employees to grow into this market?

Publix is certainly capable of expanding to LA.

LA residents have yet to prove worthy of Publix.
