Why are people so anal about going with a party to a restaurant and not eating

I feel like a zoo exhibit if someone watches me but isn't even going to order a drink at dinner.

This ain't no free show.

Why. That makes no sense. I'm going to be spending the next 14 hours with these people. Why should a 45 minute excursion mean I should stay at home.

We stopped trying to accommodate everybody a long time ago when we go out with a decent sized party to dinner (especially for brithdays or other celebrations). If people don't want to eat, that's fine. It's not going to stop me from enjoying it.

You do you. Just don't bitch about the location if it's not something that centers around you. IMO that's worse.

All I said was "I'm not hungry. Thank you." And I have 3-4 people all"what do you mean you aren't hungry. Is everything ok in your life? Is something wrong?"

After you say that and don't order anything, eat off of their plates.

Eh, if something that simple ruins someone's night than they're a lot less stable then they probably should be.

But I say that as someone who has a couple people in my family with some pretty severe food allergies and one that had part of an intestine removed so they have to watch what they eat anyway. If I ask you to come out, it's for your company. Not what you're stuffing your face with.

If anything we should probably be encouraging a good segment of the population to eat better/eat less.

Get a soup or side salad you socially awkward penguin.
