This is not a food thread, it has to do with people from Gozales who think the jambalaya world revolves around Gonzales and there is only one type of jambalaya.

They say red jambalaya is not the true jambalaya.

Guy up here at work (he's from Gonzales) made a large pot of it tonight. It was good, but still just cooked meat and rice.

I frick with him all the time about it. I am a 1000x better cook then him. Everyone of his "recipes" has Tony's in it. I can't stand Tony's.

Every once in a while, I'll make a quick dinner of just sausage jambalaya from packaged Oakgrove. I'll get other guys to say it's just the best thing ever and he gets mad, it funny as shite.

I'll ask him what makes Gonzales the "Jambalaya Capitol of the World". He has no idea why, so I tell him that no one in Gonzales can cook real food and jamabalaya is all they can cook. That's why there are zero good restaurants in Gonzales.

New Orleans (creole style) jambalaya. It has tomatoes in it. The jambalaya that's made in Gonzales is a Cajun style jambalaya.

Well no shite.

But you seem awfully mad about Gonzales being the jambalaya capital of the world.

You need a cookbook.

Not acknowledging the transition to this is like ignoring anesthesia for surgery. It's so natural and good.
