1. Thursday morning: go out and buy a ticket with Wednesday's winning numbers

2. Leave the ticket where your target can find it. (Optional: Call the target and ask him/her to retrieve your ticket and check it for you.)

3. ??????

4. Profit

My Uncle did this to my grandma years ago. It wasn't that funny.

Sounds like a plan.

We often get scratch off tickets in our stockings from "Santa" at my parents' house. A few years ago I replaced one of my brother's tickets with a fake one that had a 10,000 winning prize. Made for a pretty solid reveal as he promised to give all of the family $1,000 after winning only to find out it had to be redeemed at 555 Idiot Dr. or something like that.

I was going to record the news on Friday and pick those #s for tomorrow's drawing. At 11:00pm I was going to going to go to the recording and tell my 2 teens to come upstairs for a minute. Would hand them the ticket and say to watch because I have to take a shite real bad. Have a camera hidden to see their reaction when they think we just won. They wouldn't think to look at the drawing date.....just the numbers. I thought it would be to cruel though so I didn't.

Back in the day I figured out that one of the news stations showed the drawing about 3 minutes before another one. So I went in my parents' room and wrote down the numbers and went back in the family room where they were watching the other news station and gave my numbers to my grandmother and told her I was too nervous to watch. I didn't tell anybody else about my prank. Hilarity ensued.

I know some guys who found out a coworkers numbers at the beginning of their night shift (yea, plant operators). They told the guy on the board the numbers and had him call those numbers out over the radio after the drawing (his wife would call them after the drawing to give them the numbers each night). When the old guy whose numbers they used heard it he was all pumped up.......he wanted to kill them later when they told him it was a setup.
