I'm in good shape for now. I stayed up until about 5 am yesterday.

Good luck to you. We have been luck over here. I know there's lots of people in trouble.

I've been up listening to the Cajun navy zello channel. Scary shite a lot of people need help and the state stopped sending out rescues until the morning.

I'm in Cypress too. Water was up to my porch around 11. Built a makeshift damn around the door using pavers and painters plastic. Also filled trash bags with water for a little extra aqua dam.

The water seemed to recede pretty fast when it stopped raining. Hoping for breaks throughout the night.

Good luck to everyone.

Im in Pecan Grove. Plan on heading out tomorrow morning. Best outcome of me staying is being trapped dry surrounded 5+ ft of water until at least Saturday. Worst outcome is 8+ feet of water in my house and 2 swamped vehicles. Praying the levee holds but getting my wife and kids out.

Damn! That sucks! It got up to the sidewalk here, but it has receded back down to where it was last night. The cul-de-sac was like a kiddie wading pool during that last heavy band. I'm glad the drains are still working and aren't backed up from trash or Bear Creek.

Also in Cypress. Near Telge and Spring Cypress. It is about an inch away from coming in our home. Equal to the tax day floods, level wise. I've placed everything as high as I can get it and retreated to my neighbors. Can't afford any more rain. I know others have it way worse, and I try to keep telling myself that. Regardless, this sucks

I'm out in Bridgeland. We didn't have water on our street until the rain band around 7:00. By midnight the street was filled and it was a foot past the sidewalk on my driveway.

We are now in a respite of rain, and the water level has fallen to halfway on the sidewalk, about 3 feet horizontally removed.

I bitch and moan about the HOA fees and double MUD taxes but these last few days they seem to be money well spent. Hopefully Harvey will fricking give us a break for a few hours.

Ya NOAA released the new river crest forcast at 5:15pm but the county wouldn't give a statement until 10:30 on what would be affected by the new level. Moved everything to my second story so we can leave when the sun comes up.

I've seen that area after those floods and it was pretty bad. I'm in Lakewood Glen at Louetta and Grant. Been here for 9 years and never seen it this high before. Tax day flood it only got over the curb. Probably about 3 feet higher than that now.

Yeah, it's jacked up! Are you in the area where they said it was supposed to hit 59'?

Goldensammy, we are very close to one another. Seems like I have a river running down my street. Very fast moving. Hasn't moved much higher since around 5. It is all running towards the retention ponds in Coles. You experiencing the same?

Yep... some major bullshite going on. Our MUD says our levees can hold 58' yet the forecast of 59' yields a voluntary evacuation? The county rep is saying we wont flood. Somebody is lying but I'm not hanging out to see who.
