Who makes the strongest case for America's Founding Mother?

We have several founding fathers in this country. Do we have any founding mothers? Who is the most influential women in the founding of the USA?

This is a tough one as women really did not speak/act in public much if at all back then. The wives of some of the founding fathers played very important support roles. Both Martha Washington and Abigail Adams played a role in shaping the foundations of our country mainly through council of their husbands.

These were my choices too. Also, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, Clara Barton (who is in fact NOT a ghost in my father in law's house, despite his insistence.)
