Similar situation in Knoxville. Most if not all of East TN school systems will be closed tomorrow. The wife's place of employment just called and told her to stay home for the second day in a row as well.

Yup. Work and county school system closed tomorrow. I read that KY is in a state of emergency.

I drove to work around 11:30 this morning to pick up some stuff... From bellevue to Brentwood down old hickory... was a bit of an adventure.

To be honest I'm bored as hell and not crazy about hanging out in this house with two kids under 6 again.

Western N. Carolina is iced over for the week as well. Minus temperatures coming mid and late week. It is sleeting and snowing like a bitch right now. Being from Shreveport, I'm not used to this shite.

I'm thinking the roads will be worse in the morning and on Wednesday morning

It indeed is. We have around 9-10" here locally in Louisville. This is what our widely used interstate (I-264) looked like earlier today before another 5 or so fell on top of it.

Look at the trees in the background of this pic. Looks like they could snap at any moment.

There's no way I can get my car out of the hole where I live. I'm thinking I might hop on the bus if they're running in the morning as I'd like to go in to work. Two days inside is one too many for me.

Not sure. I tried to drive earlier and my car hydroplaned in the parking lot. Terrible decision.

It just means they go around certain hazardous roads. Doesn't look like the two buses I need are affected...yet.
