I make a lot of phone calls throughout the day and the amount of people who don't have their voicemail set up is astounding. How fricking hard is it to do on a smart phone, which most of us have? Answer: it's not. Even if it's the automated message with just your phone number.

GD people, phones have been prevalent for well over 15 years now, there's not reason to not have your voicemail turned on.

How many of you bozos don't have your voicemail set up/turned on?

Jimmies slightly rustled.

ETA I'm calling from a landlin so texting is out. Also, I can't email someone if all I have is a phone #. However, if I get an email address, thats all I'm using unless I have to make a call.

I don't have mine set up.

I honestly think that if I don't answer and you don't send me a text right afterwards then it's not important.

Only old people leave voicemails.

That's annoying as well, but at least the voicemail is turnt on, so there's a chance I may be able to leave a message at a later date.

I don't listen to voicemails. I do the Voicemail to text thing then delete it all. I always just call people right back instead.

I only listen to voicemail if it is a call I am waiting on (like a doctor's office with test results). Otherwise I delete without listening most of the time.

If someone calls and doesn't leave a voicemail, then that call isn't getting returned. This is for numbers that aren't in my contacts.

If it's important, they'll leave a voicemail.

"Hey it's ______, it's 9:45 on Wednesday, call me back when you get a chance."

Oh? No shite, my phone literally told me every bit of that with out having to listen to and delete that worthless message.

If it's more than that, text it to me.

Can't text from a landline. For the third time.

Also, my call is going to be coming from a # thats not in your contacts list. If it were your dad calling, I can 100% understand that. But it isn't, it's from a number you don't have.

Same here but I tell people I know all the time not to leave me voicemails because I just call them back as soon as I get off of any other calls I'm on. That or just shoot me a text. Voicemail is dated at this point.
