St Tammany Parish Sheriff’s investigators are attempting to locate the driver of a silver colored sedan. An occupant in the silver vehicle fired a weapon striking another vehicle yesterday around noon.

At approximately 4:15 p.m. yesterday afternoon, the driver of the silver vehicle was traveling southbound on Hwy 190 and was attempting to gain access to the westbound I-12 on-ramp. Another vehicle was between him and the on-ramp, and after eventually gaining access to the on-ramp an occupant of the silver vehicle fired a weapon at the second vehicle.

The victim continued southbound on Hwy 190 and stopped near Fairway drive, where he realized his vehicle had actually been struck by a bullet. The incident was then reported to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators are attempting to identify the driver of the silver vehicle. It is described as a silver sedan, possibly manufactured between the years 2000 and 2008. The vehicle did not present any special identifying damage or after-market additions. Witnesses report that the driver was a black male and that there was a black female passenger in the car. The vehicle entered I-12 westbound immediately after the incident.
