Do y'all give them both a try while in different city?

When I was traveling a shite ton for work I used exclusively uber and I usually wasn't in a city longer than 10-11 days at the longest so not enough time to care to compare the two at the specific destination.

But here in the city I switch it up, but lately been using Lyft more often. Also seems like the drivers like using the Lyft application more for a couple reasons. One manly is the tip option that Uber doesn't have.

Also one of the reasons I've been on a Lyft kick lately is it's pretty easy to score promo discounts (for both really) but the "$5 off next 10 rides up to $50" promo from Lyft is legit and I'm working through my 2nd consecutive set.

I would love to use Lyft in Nola more often but hard to get someone to pick you up.

Nola uber is hands down the worst I've ever dealt with. I had a 2004 Saturn scoop me up the other night. The driver had was texting on his phone and there was an empty bag of cheetos on the back seat.

I'm still pro ride sharing but uber Needs to do a better job screening their drivers.

I've found that a lot of smelly cabbies have started driving for Uber instead of the cab company.

Whichever is cheaper. Uber tends to have more cars available.

I've found lift is often cheaper than uber. They're the same shite to me, so whatever is closer and/or cheaper I'll use

what???

I use Lyft all over the city often af, and usually picked up witching 5 min of requesting... and I've even requested it out in the east, on Gen Myer in Algiers, and also at the DMV over off the wank expressway.

Maybe I should give lyft another shot. I moved uptown, off Calhoun (park side) and have not been successful with Lyft there. I'm sure it's easier to get rides in the WHD.

Same. The worst cars and worst attitude of any city I've used Uber in. I was shocked the last trip I took to Nola.

Still better than cabs, tho

Whichever one is cheaper/faster.

I do like that with Lyft I can tip using the app. Wish Uber would make that a feature.

Lyft. Personally, I think it's easier to work than Uber.

I tried to use Uber for the first time on Friday night to get a ride from my office in Elmwood to my home in Kenner. I sat outside for 2 hours watching Uber cars circle my location on the map and no one ever came.

Next time I'll try Lyft.
