How has no one asked what the cities are? If you're moving 1200 miles away to live in the middle of nowhere that would suck, but if you're moving 1200 miles away to a much better city that would be a huge plus (for me at least). For instance, I'd rather work and live in New Orleans at my current salary, than move to Shreveport and get a 40k raise.

So, what are the cities?

A. Medium size company, high pay, high stress, hometown, 2 hour (or more) drive daily, laid back environment.

B. Large company, moderate pay (possibly a cut), high stress, hometown, 30 minute drive daily, corporate environment.

C. Large company (more prominent than B), moderate pay (lateral pay, potential raises but slow and steady), high stress, relocate 1200 miles away, 30 minute commute daily, corporate but laid back.

none

Yes. It's about the companies and what I would be doing at each.

This is still not computing for me.

1200 miles is quite diverse. That could put you anywhere from New York to McAllen TX.

your job ain't shite, just wait til you're cruising along at 40,000' stumped on a crossword puzzle and then the FA calls up and you have to decide on either steak or shrimp for dinner, and make a position report, all at the same time, that, my friend, is pressure

He will move 1200 miles but not 30-60 miles. This thread is getting frustrating.

None of the companies are located within 30 minutes of civilization???

ETA: and what does your daily tasks at said company have to do with not moving closer (in response to your post that said so)
