Are you happy with them?

How convenient are the locations in the BR area?

How easy is it to find an atm ?

After my recent experience with Capital One I am going to switch banks. Which sucks because we've been with them for a long time and they have locations that are really convenient for me.

ETA: already RA'd to move to OT.

Chase for checking. Cap 1 for credit card rewards.

Regions.

Lots of locations, I've had no problems with them.

Honestly in year 2016, there is no good reason not to use a national bank like Chase for your everyday checking.

Campus Federal CU

Yes. 11+ years, never had a major issue and minor ones have been handled immediately with one phone call.

With the CU Shared Branch locations, there's a location within 5-10 minutes of me in BR. I actually make more deposits at LA Capitol or Eagle Federal than CFCU.

My ATM fees are waived with my rewards checking account up to $30/mo.

Chase. Great customer service in my experience. I've never had any problems with them. I had Regions for a few years and they were always rude at every branch I went to.

I use Regions and Capital One, haven't had issues with either. Plenty of branches in the BR area.

I have 4 checking accounts right now.

USAA - Had it forever, this is where my paychecks go.
Charles Scwab - Picked this up for international travel ATM use
Capital One - so many locations so I can deposit cash when I ever come across any
Citibank Gold - I opened it to get a bunch of American miles, will close once I get them.

I had Chase but closed it. I don't like anything where I have to keep minimums to avoid fees for no good reason.

during the events referenced in my thread about having my card info skimmed.

They allowed someone spoofing my phone number to not only raise my daily limit but, allowed them to change info for our online banking account. i.e. email address. They also let them move money from our saving account to the checking account over the phone.

The woman we dealt with at the Jefferson branch was clueless. She had to call someone to get answers to every question we asked. On top of that , she had to use the same phone number and weave her way through the same menu i had to use to report the issue. They don't have direct phone numbers for employees to use to contact people in areas like the "fraud" dept.

3 hours later we finally had the old accounts closed and new accounts opened.

oh, and they tried to charge us fricking nsf charges on the fraudulent purchases !
