In 1978 I was thirteen and worked a few days a week at my dads friends junk yard that summer. He would pick me up in a wrecker early in the morning. Would usually pick up a junk car on the way to the yard. Pulled a lot of parts and ruined a lot of clothes that summer. Every Saturday he would buy us lunch from Burger King. I don't have any memory of what he paid me, but sure it was not much. One day he had me pull the back window out of a ford LTD. He told me to make sure I did not break it and I got it out in one piece. The guy that was going to deliver it broke it before it left the yard. Owner was pissed, but not at me!

Started cutting grass around 11 or 12.
After that, went on to a successful career as a grocery bagger and shelf stocker at Calvin's market in Bocage when I was 15. $5.15/hr plus tips. Thought I had hit the jackpot when some old lady gave me a 20 on my first day.

I think enough time has elapsed so I can confess to doing the same thing.

Not kidding - my first job was at Weiner's department store. Sigh. Thankfully I didn't stay long enough to get a name tag with "Weiner's" on it. I was in high school at the time, and the crazy manager kept scheduling me during the school day.

I was 14. I walked around a driving range with a bunch of other kids and picked up the golf balls by hand and put them into the baskets we each carried.
We generally started 30 - 45 minutes before the range closed.
Had to keep your head on a swivel.
Made $3.65/hr.

If you don't count cutting grass around the neighborhood, I was a camp counselor. I think I made $5.25 an hour.

Worked here as well after moving to Nashville. It was my second ever job. Made 7.25hr and have not eaten roast beef from there since. Disgusting pile of slop cooked to resemble RB on a slicer.
