Where to stay in Orlando?

We ( wife and I) are going to Orlando in March , looking to stay close to Universal Studios....what you got?

Popup Camper in any WalMart parking lot. You meet lots of Gumpers this way.

Hard Rock is a Universal property. I stayed there awhile back and highly recommend it.

If you are planning on going to universal studios, you MUST stay in one of their on site resorts.

You get in to the parks at least an hour early each day and get to use unlimited express passes for most rides (quick lines).

Staying off site and trying to do Harry Potter is not a good idea.

I don't know who this Harry Potter guy is, but he sounds awfully high maintenance.

Lowe's has two onsite properties. One is the Portofino Bay and the other is the Royal Pacific.

Stayed at Portofino last Mardi Gras. Would recommend.
