As close to Red's as possible.

LHS is the only public high school I'd send them to.
DT STEM is also a good option. We used to live in 70501. It's not a bad area but I wouldn't raise a family in those neighborhoods. We bought in the saint streets this past winter and love it. Happy to get into the French immersion at myrtle and feeds into the arts at LHS. As long as we stay in Lafayette, we're going to stay in this neighborhood. It's great for families and close to festivals and good food.

What about the big patch of empty green to the East of town?
That looks inviting and low population density.

Do either of your kids' names rhyme with "Ayden"...is so, Youngsville/Broussard area will be fine.
Nice...I actually chuckled at your post.
The wife would also have her maiden name hyphenated into her married name

Off East Bayou or West Bayou
Send your kids to Pius, Fatima, or Cathedral
All right around $6-7000 a year
We live off East Bayou and love it
The houses aren't brand new like in youngsville but they're not all exactly the same either. And good size backyards for the kids to play
But the best part is dealing with no commute and depending on where you live and work, sometimes you can avoid the heavy traffic altogether

OP - I live in Youngsville as the schools can't keep up with the population growth. The new charter school opened this year with talks of a new HS in the future. Ernest Gallet is a very good elementary school if you choose the public system. During middle school at YMS my daughter wasn't academically challenged enough as we sent her to Westminister Christian Academy ($6K tuition)
ESA , followed by a Ascension Episcopal are arguably the premier academic institutions in the Youngsville / Laf. area but tuition is at a premium ... approaching $20K. Several other private schools in the Parish as I encourage you to do your research and attend open houses.

Does your wife have include her maiden name into her married name..and what size big green egg or knockoff do you have...what brand of line trimmer do you use to cut your yard...king ranch edition of your F250? truck nuts or not? THESE are the important questions to 'fit in' in the Broussard/Youngsville area...

I grew up in 70508
Have not lived there in a decade, so cannot speak to it now.
Pretty rural growing up. Had cane field in backyard

Depending on where the job is (and budget), not bad advice at all. Great neighborhoods around it

Anywhere off West Bayou Pkwy is a good area to live in with kids.

I am not gonna say how much I make but we can afford ESA for both our children. Only problem is we are cheap as hell. I work from home so commute is not really an issue. Transferring to just be closer to clients. Just trying to find best place in area to raise family with good proximity to great schools.
And no we do not own a f250, trimmer, or bge but I do have big nuts.

I do love me some Red's when working in Lafayette and when I go from the hotel to the gym, it does look like there are some very nice homes close by. Never knew much about the schools though.

Really? You put any kids through these schools to be such an expert on them?
