Being transferred due to work. What areas should I be looking at to live? Have wife and two young kids.

Looking more for great schools than anything else.

Thanks for any help. And no we don't want to move to da berry.

This is what we plan to do. We've been looking at youngsville but it seems the schools are a little overcrowded. May send the kids to ESA but it's a little pricey.

Youngsville. Catholic schools in Lafayette if episcopal schools are too much. The public schools in Youngsville aren't as overcrowded as lafayette's and there is an elementary charter school that people seem to like. Also a fancy new public high school to be built soon.

You are making the assumption that oil prices will not rebound in the next two years. Key event to watch for is the presidential election which may provide for a dramatic decrease in stability with Iran and thus the Straight of Hormuz.

You are making the assumption that many people can hold on for 2 years waiting on a rebound. There is already an uptick in preforeclosures and people falling behind on their mortgages.

Why, yes I am, and so is everyone else. They're in the 40's...and based on that alone it's a good assumption that they will stay around there.

Terrible place to live if you work in Lafayette.

Check out the Woodvale, Alleman, Lafayette High school district.
