Where to go on vacation?

Cost is a factor. Want to go somewhere I've never been. Nightlife is important along with scenery.
A vacation in the US is an option but I live to close to Florida to vacation there and almost everywhere I want to go in the US is more of a hiking thing and I probably shouldn't be hiking now.
My brother wants me to visit him in Argentina but that's an expensive flight and visiting family doesn't really feel like a vacation.
My sister says Columbia. I don't know why. At all. It's super cheap to fly there and I'm sure there's a ton of cool stuff but I don't really get it.
My initial thought was a road trip from Madrid to Milan with stops like Marsielle, Genoa, Cannes, St Tropez (I can't afford even water in St Tropez but it might still be cool to drive through).
None of these are great options really. What do you have?

Then you mention Europe, South and Central America. You can do those on a budget or it can quickly add up. If money is tight, you'll do best to stay stateside.
Can we get some budget and length of vacation parameters?

Two weeks.
Depends on if I go with family or not. Stateside? A grand after flight. If abroad, maybe two.

Well, you've really narrowed it down, haven't you...

My sister says Columbia.
You need to take your 13 year-old girl decision-making logic and process back to your peers at Pinterest for an answer, right now young lady.

Pony up and go to Argentina. Speaking from experience BA has the night life, but also the scenery if you head down south. The money you spent won't even cross your mind down the road.
I went to BA and then headed down to Patagonia(Chile & Argentina) for a 2.5 week trip.
I'm not kidding on the scenery. Pictures I took on my freaking phone would blow your mind.

Went there on a spur of the moment decision while in Europe. Loved that place and would suggest Croatia as well

I want to do this soon, haven't looked into it at all though. How much is a roundtrip flight down there? And how do you get around? Busses or more Flights? Im assuming they don't have trains like in europe

The ad at the top of my page said to visit Cuba. Do that.

Really like Croatia and BiH. $2 grand will make it tough though. lots of nightlife along Croatian coast and spectacular scenery. I found tickets a couple of months ago into Sarajevo and out of Split to Houston for $780 on Turkish air.

to be honest, we booked the round trip (Houston-BA) on points so i have no idea
once we got down there we flew from BA to el calafate, spent a few days there, then bused it down to Torres del Paine national park(most beautiful place i've ever been to), then bused it to Ushuaia/Tierra del Fuego
i think the whole trip with everything included ended up being 3500-4000k.. it'd spend it again without blinking an eye

How about some place like Costa Rica or Panama? Can find inexpensive flights there, I believe there's mountains you can hike or zipline through, and great beaches. Europe or very far south in south america are going to be expensive.
In the US, I'd suggest Sedona in a heartbeat. Went last May on a family vacation and it was one of the most beautiful places I've been with plenty of things to do. Flying in and out of PHX isn't that expensive, can see the grand canyon, plenty of hiking including Bear mountain if you want a challenge

Go to a major city in the US. It'll be cheaper than anything international I'm sure and much less of a hassle. Ever been to Chicago? New York? Los Angeles? All of those will be cheaper than international if you're actually watching your budget

Sounds like the only way you're getting out the US is on a Caribbean cruise...
