Why go to a circus when you could go spend your money supporting a zoo that doesnt torture the animals?

Tickets were practically being given away in Nola a few years back. It's been a while though.

No more elephants. Only other animals are horses, dogs, and large cats. The cats are my favorite part of the show. I'm not sure how they are treated compared to their zoo bound brethren, but horses and dogs are trained the same everywhere.

Animals are only about 25% of the show (now).

Oof. I couldn't have been older than 7. It's been a while. Are circuses out of vogue because of animal rights activists?

Wasn't the circus, but your mom did some acrobatics the last time I banged her.

I went to Barnum and Bailey like 5 or 6 years ago and it was just sad to me.

Those animals looked miserable. The other parts were entertaining though.

I'm no PETA member, but it really did seem inhumane and the animals just loaf around like they're miserable.

Went a few years back with the kids. I really didn't care for it. It was just...stupid. The animal parts just looked dumb with them jumping around like ballet dancers. I prefer the zoo for that and see them as animals not performers. The other stuff I barely remember, a bunch of motorcycles riding in a big metal cage ball. Meh.

Much, much worse.

They are trained with electricity.

Well that's not true. And the horses are put in trailers the entire time they aren't in the show...year round.
