When's the last time you had a terrifying, monster will eat you, nightmare

I've had memorable, disturbing dreams in the past but I don't think I've had a really truly terrifying nightmare since I was a kid. Till last night. Holy hell that sucked.
There were dwarfs, a high school, a demon bound to the hs, and in this dream I was a hs student.

I sleep very lightly and am usually able to wake myself if a dream isn't going the way I want it to.

When I woke up (at 5:57 in the ducking morning) someone on tinder texted me within seconds of me waking up. It was extremely creepy.

Don't know. But according to my wife, last night I freaked out twice during the night and jerked awake saying there is a bumblebee in the bed.

I had a dream I was in a shootout with a guy trying to rob me - he had a shotgun and I had a .357 magnum. My shots would never hit, I was getting popped like mad.

I have a reoccurring dream where I'm being chased by the T-Rex from Jurassic Park in an empty parking garage.
It's happened every couple months since I was about 7 years old. Still terrifying every time.

I have a lot of horrible nightmares, though none of them are about monsters. I guess real life is scarier.

Rarely, but my SO (no pics) often wakes up in a panic. The other night she dreamed she was in a middle eastern prison camp.

Last night, wife (no pics) went to bed early, I had a bunch of work to do so I didn't go to bed until around midnight.
When I walked into the room, as I was getting into bed, she all of a sudden jumped up, put her glasses on, screamed at me "Why are you trying to stab me? Why are you wanting to stab me?", then grabbed her pillows and went to the front room. I followed her she laid down on sofa and fell asleep I said whatever and went to bed.
About 30 min later she comes back to bed, wakes me up, and asks me why I didn't wake her up for bed since she fell asleep on the sofa watching tv.
This morning... she did not remember any of this or a dream/nightmare about stabbing.
