When is it acceptable for men to wear an undershirt?

Having an argument with friends about when men should wear undershirts? What are the OTs thoughts??

I wear a undershirt all time unless I'm at home... No one wants to see my 70's chest hair peaking out from a v-neck or polo... This ain't magnum P.I.

I wear undershirts with all button downs and most polos.
No undershirt for a few of my polos. Why? Because I'm a man and I do what the frick I want.

Hell, even just wearing a undershirt can be ok if it's a well made undersshirt and it's just going outside to check the mail, mow, exercise, etc... I don't use those see through ones though.. I buy jockey's or use white t-shirts that I get that I don't wear as a real t-shirt. you know the ones from donating to a charity, etc.
