When did we have start acknowledging ever single feeling that people have?

I really do not get this line of thinking in our country right now.
If a person who is black commits a crime, why should I or any black person have to apologize for them? Like the Bryce Williams situation. There were people on this site and in general upset that black people were screaming from the roof tops openly condemning this man.
It goes each way. Why should a white person have to apologize for the actions of other whites. Nobody here had anything to do with a Dylan Roof. Any black person spouting out that line of thinking is an idiot.
Whatever happened to individual responsibility?
When did all of this happen? Seriously, when did we all lose the ability to use a little common sense. Has the media hype and hysteria machine really gotten this strong.
Why do we allow the vocal minority to somehow represent the whole now. Why do we cave when two people on twitter get butt hurt over something that is absolutely trivial.
When did we start thinking it was okay to let teenage boys use the same facilities and locker rooms as our teenage daughters because they feel different.
I mean we could literally go on and on all day with this foolishness.

I suffer from a specific type of anxiety that makes it difficult for me to read threads that are longer than two paragraphs. Please shorten it. I can't breathe.

Why do we fire university presidents and riot when a random passerby allegedly calls somebody a bad name?

Yeah, I do agree with this.
I do understand it is a tricky situation and we are living in real tense times, but saying nothing is not the same thing as agreeing with the hateful and terrible actions of others.

Only if you hate America and want all of our children to die.

Welcome to the world liberals and progressives have been working tirelessly to build for the last 50 years.

I couldn't tell you personally. I would love for this foolishness to stop.
When did we get some damn sensitive as a nation as a whole?

Still represents the minority. When do we stand up and say enough is enough as a people.
People like to draw a line and blame one side, but we all know there is plenty of blame to go around.

I think this is at the crux of the problem. Whites generally don't have to, or try to, take up for one another--at least not in the sense that they protest or riot or start movements. A white guy gets gunned down by a person of any color and it's a short news blip.
I think a big reason a lot of whites groan and roll their eyes at the black community, is that whenever there is an interaction with police--right or wrong--the community defends them like they're Nelson Mandella. Hell, look at the #freeC4 crap on Twitter. The narrative being pushed is that having empathy for the plight of underprivileged and underrepresented minorities, while also condemning "bad" actors from that community are mutually exclusive.

Sorry, should have finished reading. This is the root of the problems you're describing. Nothing you can do about it except ignore it.

I blame the rise of the Internet and easy to do user generated content.

So many questions without question marks. Are you telling me something or asking?

Not as much of a minority as you think, especially among those under 40. And it gets worse when you look at those in their 20s. It's no accident that liberals and progressives started taking over education in this country decades ago. They realized that to bring the radical transformation of our society that they're wanting, they'd have to do it by shaping the minds of our youth and continue to do so for generation after generation. Each successive generation thus has less and less traditional values and becomes a bit more leftist than the last.
What we're seeing today with all this political correctness crap, everything from the "BLM" movement to "the "SJW's", to "gay rights", is the result of decades of our society being slowing pulled to the left by those who are supposed to be educating our youth. And now we're reaching a tipping point that I'm not sure we can ever recover from. As the old saying goes, "the chickens have come home to roost".

I bet you USC is asking the same thing right now about Steve Sarkisian.
