I ran a section in a large IT group. Programmers had to submit their programs thru my group with proper documentation for proper tracking.
Late in the day, one lady tried to get us to accept her program without any documentation. I wasn't going to lose my job over her request and insisted on the documentation.
She got very upset and was going back to her office to complete the paperwork. She made a comment as she was leaving and I said "Yes ma'am", showing respect for her.
She turned around and said "Don't ever call me that again because ma'am is short for madam and I am no madam".
I stood up and turned to face her and said "I still address my mother with "Yes ma'am" and "No ma'am" and if it is good enough for her it is good enough for you.
She opened her mouth to respond and then realized that if she responded that she would be talking about "my mama".
She decided to shut up.

I once told a woman that she had the prettiest stinkers (feet) that I have ever seen in my entire life.

Commenting on how cheap a cabins rent was per day, I wondered aloud if they inherited it. I was told by my friend that it was an offensive thought. So I informed him his opinion was idiotic.

I don't know, but evidently there are females who interpret things different that males do.
For example, I went visit someone in the hospital and the nurse came in. She did what she had to do and left. I didn't think anything about it, but when the nurse left this person's wife was like "could she have been more of a bitch?". I had no idea who she was talking about at first, I thought she was talking about someone they were talking about before I got there. She then goes on about how there needs a personality test for people who wants to be a nurse and that they are treating people who needs positive energy around them, etc. I just remember laughing to myself the whole time because that bitch was really upset that the nurse went in, did what she had to do and didn't really engage in conversation with people.

I told an old lady (after she told me her car was worth 10k on KBB) that Kelly Blue Book was simply a reference, and that if she drove her vehicle to Irvine, CA and demanded KBB give her 10k, they wouldn't do it.
