What's the OT's thoughts on fans at sporting events singing songs on their own?

What's yalls opinion on situations like at ULL when the fans sang the national anthem on their own because there wasn't time for it?

Now, I'm seeing some Mississippi high school sang "How Great Thou Art" before a football game recently.

I think the ULL thing was unique because it was the first time we saw it done. Now I think it has and will continue to become a "look at us" thing. And why video every one? If they want to do it, just do it. Why have it go viral?

I think too many people are looking for stuff like this to complain about.

It's turrible when people sing on their own.

It's moronic and there should be a law against it.

Hasn't this been going on at soccer venues all over the world for literally centuries?

What a boring arse song to sing. God needs to recruit some better musicians.

I can 100% guarantee that the Alabama student section will sing Dixieland Delight at every home game this year in spite of it being banned by Bill Battle after the Auburn game last year.

Had something to do with tv and the previous game running long I think...so the crowd sang the anthem. Not sure why they wouldn't have just done it earlier

I hate this sentence so much right now. Not only is it "couldn't," but "careless" and "care less" are two different things. I feel like you were just trying to upset me.

Some atheists went and got a court order, or pressured the school board that has jurisdiction over Brandon High School, in Mississippi. The band had programmed "How Great Thou Art" which is NOT my favorite Church song (I'm a musician) as their closer, I think, for half-time. Powers that be said they couldn't play it.

So the crowd did the awesome thing and sang the piece unaccompanied anyway. I don't think it was planned that they'd sing it. It sort of happened when the band was proscribed from playing the piece.

The Mississippi high school did not do it because of ULL. I doubt they even heard about it (I know I didn't). It was a completely different situation.

Who cares? If you don't want to sing, don't. Damn it, I'm not going to be here every day to walk you through life.

I don't care what people do in groups, but I don't need douchebag asshat turning around and trying to 'pump up' the crowd yelling at everyone to get up and cheer.
