Selling my running boards off my truck to a guy in GA and am curious which option is the best. Combine weight is probably 60-75lbs and they're each ~6' long. Anyone have a suggestion?

I literally did exactly this back in the early 00's. Sold them on eBay and shipped ups from a ups store place. Would probably be better to package them separately but that sort of stuff is right up ups/fed-ex's alley.

Baton Rouge Packing and Shipping on Coursey can help you out if you want to pay someone else to pack it

Sounds crazy, but a friend is moving and is using Amtrac to ship her packages/boxes. She found them to be the most reasonable. They hold them for 3 days after arrival for free, then you have to pay storage for anything beyond that.

Per ups, it's about $100 to ship two packages weighing 35# ea, 12"x12"x72" from Baton Rouge to Atlanta.

This is the answer, highly recommend them. UPS stores are hit or miss on packing, the guys at BRP&S are pros. They work with all carriers and should be able to give you the most cost effective option.

Call Fastenal for shipping quotes.

They were half the price, of any carrier, for an axle that I had shipped last month.

I would plastic wrap and protect the ends just a little. Drop them off at your nearest location anf they pick them up at the location nearest them.

I have heard that the company Fastenal will ship heavy things from store to store. give them a try, also Greyhound bus might work too.
