What status do you want to have? I think a lab is usually associated with someone who hunts or fish , although they are damn good dogs just because. If you are gay you can get a purse dog

Paying thousands of dollars for a dog* is what the poors who can't afford it do.

You don't have to worry about feeding pitbulls dog food either as any red meat will do for them.
