What would you do if your boss started listening in on your phone calls?

Got an email this morning from our Director of sales saying he's going to begin listening in on the whole team's phone calls.

I didn't bitch about it, even though I think it sounds pretty ridiculous, but some of my fellow employees are flipping shite.

What says the OT?

ETA: He can listen in real time and has the ability to interject at any time.

Is there something they are hiding or doing wrong?

I would be more concerned with them seeing my TD/NSFW history.

If you aren't doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about.

The higher ups are usually already targeting someone when they pull these.

I'm sure my company already monitors our e-mails so I don't see the difference

I would at least want to know why. You can't really do much about it I guess, but it seems to be a little too much. Go ask why do they feel the need to do this? And exactly what are they looking for? You don't want to say something you have no idea you shouldn't say and then all of a sudden they drop a bomb on you.

I'd be more concerned about why he's doing it.

I would assume he is getting complaints about someone on the sales team or someone is underperforming.

If it's a company phone and not intended for work AND personal use, you don't have a leg to stand on. They can do whatever they want.

If company policy is that your work phone may be used as your personal phone (as mine is), then I would be pissed.

I guess it depends on what kind of calls are happening, if he's listening real time, what kind of business I'm in, and if he could butt in.

Probably has some doubts about his sales staff.
