What were the engineers/designers at GMC thinking when they built the Acadia?

I swear on my Father's grave that I will never own another POS GM vehicle (Chevy, GMC, Cadillac, etc...) in my life!
When the first step in the instructions for replacing a blown out bulb in the headlight assembly is "1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL..." just burn that POS to the ground, collect the insurance $$ and go buy a Toyota!
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LUDACRIS!

Overreact much?
Would you rather take 20 minutes and change it yourself, or pay someone to do it?

Not surprised, there's a few vehicles that have made changing bulbs way more complicated than it should be. Example, my F250 and brother's Silverado require removing the entire front grill assembly and unbolting the entire headlights to access the bulbs.

do you really have to change the bulbs often enough to where it's a huge deal?

I love having old vehicles. Easy as shite to find parts and to work on.

My wife had a 2001 Nissan Altima and you had to remove the front bumper to replace the head lamps so you got off easy.

I had the same thought when we owned an'08. The bad thing is the manual didn't even have instructions on how to replace it. Just said "Contact Dealership".

To replace the bulbs on my suburban I damn near have to remove the front end of the truck..

Usually there is a trap door for accessing the light bulb.
Just cut the wheel all the way in the opposite direction and there is room.

Must be later model vehicles. My 06 GMC is a breeze on bulb changes. Now the fuel filter is a different story.

Yeah, I hate it when car companies jam all that technology and creature comforts under the hood.

I worked in the automotive parts business for 15 years. Aside from exotic cars like Ferrari's that need a fender removed to change a battery, I've never seen any car that took longer than 5 minutes to chang a bulb.
It should be as simple as reaching behind the housing, twisting the bulb out, unplug old bulb, plug new bulb in, reinstall and be on your way.
This is absolute idiocy!

Yeah, it was a bitch to replace a driver side bulb in my Sierra. I hear the passenger side is much worse.....

No trap door, you have to remove the wheel well liner to access it.

You had to remove the wheel to accomplish this?

I'm not arguing that. I know you're a handy guy and it shouldn't be that hard for you to do it, but would you rather pay someone to do it is the question.

Driver side is easy on mine..... the passenger side you have to remove the air intake..... takes about 20 minutes.
