Yeah there are too many people in college who spend 5-6 years in college just to earn some degree to get a job making a lot less than a job they could get by learning a trade.. in 2 years.

I don't understand the dynamic of CC's, somebody would have to help me understand their financials, but the bold ones above in my opinion should be closed.

Most of the keepers have some great programs that the school is known for.

Nicholl's - Nursing and Culinary
SLU - Nursing and Education
ULL - Geology and Petroleum Engineering/General Engineering
UNO - Business and Accounting

Southern - because you gotta have a bottom feeder.

But we definitely don't need to LSU Health schools or two law schools within 20 miles of each other.

To start, any of them with a graduation rate below 30%. If its below 40% you have 4 years to get it up above 40%.

School has three options if below these thresholds:

- Close
- Merge
- Convert to 2yr program

Golfer nailed it. Look at a school's graduation rates for the past 5 years to get an accurate assessment & when one falls in to the 30% category over 5 years, cut'em. It's a waste of money & every school has others in its close proximity to the extent a student can transfer with minimum difficulty.
