Was it any good. It was more expensive than Bluebell so I stuck with the brand I knew.

That guy threw TONS of cash into that part of the business and let the dairy drag up with serious QC/QA issues. Numerous citations from DHH. Most here know they had tons of quality issues with milk going bad, etc.
Supposedly got it back under control but they took a huge hit.
Kleinpeter and Community are iconic local brands that have seemingly always been around for me (36 years old). If Kleinpeter doesn't watch out they may have problems being there another 3.6 years, much less 36.
I did hear that their head guy took a step back to "deal with issues" and some other folks in the family/business side stepped up to run the day-to-day. I'm guessing that is a good thing.

More expensive and less quality than other brands. Doesn't take long to figure out why they didn't make it. They need to focus on getting their milk right.

I got kleinpeter ice cream once and didn't care for it. I'll just stick to blue bell, or New Orleans ice cream co. If I want something local.

The ice cream was super expensive, and was average at best. No one was buying it. Not to mention, their milk was souring a week before the expiration date. Not sure how they will stay in business being 20-30% higher in pricing than their competitors.
