same EXACT thing Oldsmobile did in the late 90's. I had a 98 Intrigue and it only said "oldsmobile" on the dash, in tiny letter, no where on the outside of the car.
I thought it a good car and the 3800 V6 was great, but a few years later Oldsmobile was defunct, which was upsetting as it was the oldest car company in America, should have killed Buick instead. IMO.

When I see someone younger than 50 driving one, I tell them I am sorry their great aunt died.

They moving from making Buick the "senior citizens car brand" to the new "middle aged adult car brand".

They look good IMO.

Old black man car and old gray haired white lady car. Young people say "whaaaaat?" If Buick is mentioned.

86 Skylark will take more than a commercial to get the taste of that piece of shite out of your mouth.

Buick for decades was a semi luxury brand for older adults and grand parents. They actually make some nice looking vehicles now adays, but I wouldn't buy one myself.

Back in the day the Olds 4-4-2 with the 455 engine was an awesome car.

I learned to drive in my parents 69 Buick Wildcat with a 430 cu.inch engine. Got lots of tickets in it after I got my license.

Had a 73 Regal with a 350 in the late 70's.

My grandmother had a 20 year-old Buick when she died... With something like 42K miles.

ETA- Not laughing at you, Granny!

Of all the brands to keep, Buick was the absolute worst choice. Both Olds and Pontiac had a lot more cachet with younger car buyers, the market Buick seems to be pitching to.

Stereotypes can really hurt a business.

Just ask Pontiac.
