The whole museum to be honest. Went for the first time about a month ago, and the only thing I didnt get a chance to do was the Submarine Tang exhibit/experience.
Just a word of advice though, make sure you set aside a good chunk of time so you dont have to rush it. Was there from about 11-4, including lunch @ American Sector and the 4D theater experience, and still even felt rushed a little bit on the actual pacific part of the exhibit (upstairs)
Eta:make sure you park somewhere you dont have to worry about meter... Had to run out 3 times since they have a 2 hour max :(

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time. I'm an avid history buff. I felt like i needed an entire day to get the full experience. However, I had the wife and kids in tow and they could only make it half the day.

I like the old uniforms. Amazing how physically small the greatest generation was.
Yea, the uniform and weapons they have on display are awesome, and most of the uniform pieces they have the name and story of the soldiers etc that actually wore them which was just incredible to know.

Sometimes on the weekend they have WWII Veterans there in first area. If you see one, go talk to him if he is not occupied. When I went, we talked to a gentleman there and it was a life changing experience. He told us about his time in the campaign and what he did. We were looking at our tanks and he said they were a piece of crap...but we were able to make more of them. It was an awesome experience.

It's all good. Kind of hard to pick just a few things.
I could honestly spend a full 48 hours there easily.

The correspondence to the White House during the Manhattan Project gives you goosebumps reading through it. There is just so much to take in. Also, you don't read in history books that there were interment camps in the US for Japanese and German citizens.

All the errors. There's a map that says Union of Socialist Soviet Republics. Pisses me off.

This is a must.
There will be a time they won't be there.

Gum on the sidewalk out in front?
And all the other things mentioned here.
I'm the kid of a Okinawa veteran. I was raised on stories and artifacts of WWII. The museum is redundant for me. Have a great time. My Nambu pistol that Pops smuggled back sends its warmest regards.

Without a doubt, the must do/see thing is talk to the veterans. These men are living heroes and history. If you're going with kids, they will enjoy the Final Mission. On 9/27 they are opening the Higgins boats for tours for only the 2nd time in the history of the museum.
