Didn't Georgia have a program that was the inspiration for it?

I think education lottery scholarships are pretty common in the South. Georgia and Florida have programs, I know.

Several states have a similar program. According to the TOPS website, 23 states to be exact

LINK

The funny thing is that TOPS is literally Michael Scott's "Scott's Tots" program from the The Office. Looks like the state can't pay for it just like Michael Scott.

Maybe the legislature can offer to give all the TOPS recipients free laptop batteries

A lot of states have scholarship programs but none are as big as TOPS. Florida for example pays 100% of the average tuition for students with a 28+ ACT and 3.75 and 75% for students with a 25ACT and 3.5. The rest they only pay for community college.

I am going off of just memory here so the numbers may be wrong, but they do not pay for students that have as low of stats that La does.

I've been rewatching the office from the beginning and that episode hasn't come up yet (just finished season 5), I completely forgot about it

Makes me wonder how many kids are on a full ride in other states. a 28+ and 3.75 isn't very hard to do in high school.

When longtime CBS newsman Mike Wallace featured Mr. Taylor with the “Taylor’s Kids” on a 60 Minutes segment in September 1989, Mr. Taylor’s mission took on a national scope, as other states called wondering how to implement a similar program. That same year, Mr. Taylor convinced New Mexico to enact a version of the “Taylor Plan” program. In 1990, Texas, Florida, and Indiana voted for state-paid college tuition assistance programs for their children. In 2010, Alaska became the 23rd state to enact a “Taylor Plan.”

So now can we quit with the bullshite that no other state has similar programs?

Why do people love answering questions incorrectly when they have no clue what they are talking about?
