What person in your family do you wish that you could have spent time or more time with?
I would say either of my grandparents. Both of my grandparents on my mom & dad side died before my birth and everyday I wonder what would our relationship be like by watching my nieces and nephews around my parents.
I'm sure they would have had some hella good stories to share and general old people wisdom.

My maternal grandfather. He was an entrepreneur, so I would have like to learn business from him. He also was a hunter and fisherman, but gave them up before I was old enough to go with him.

My maternal grandfather.
He died when I was in the 6th grade and it hurt like hell because I grew up with him. I can remember summers at his house doing farm stuff, using his swimming pool, riding in his big red truck to town to get some ice cream and hearing some stories about his service in WW2. Also gave me some life lessons when I had a fight with my dad.
Rest in peace pawpaw.

My grandfather - born in 1870 - would like to have heard about his own father, my great grandfather who lost an arm in the civil war.
- and also my great grandfather - born in 1845 - who died when I was 14. He was a one of the last 50 civil war veterans alive.
I didn't realize what treasures those people represented when I was young. By the time I got smart they were gone.

My great grandfather. He's 102, and I've been very close with him my whole life. I live to where I only see him once a year. I know every time could be my and my son's last.
Still beats me in gin and checkers.

My mom is still living but I wish I had spent more time with her when her mind was sound.

My maternal grandmother easily. Took my time spending with her for granted and I kick myself everyday for it. I didn't go see her as much as I should have and it honestly sucks.
Would also have loved to have met both of my grandfathers. Both died in their 40s about fifteen years before I was born. Always wonder exactly how our relationships would have been. Can't imagine having no grandparents at all though so blessed for the time I have been able to spend with my grandmas

I could name three. For three different reasons. I miss them each day and life hasn't been the same without them.

Right now it would be my wife and son.

My maternal grandmother. Wish I could have talked to her more about her life before she had a family(how she met my grandfather, stories in nursing school, etc). I remember hearing stories about stuff like that from relatives at her funeral and it made me sad that I never had those kind of conversations with her. Learned stuff about her after her death that I never knew.

My mother, she was the type of mother that gave up a lot for her us kids and would be there any time we needed her. Very good hearted woman, miss her very much.

My grandfather. Died when I was 3.
Joined the Navy at 17 (lied about his age) to fight in WW2. After he joined the Army. Retired a Lt Col with 3 Purple Hearts and a Silver Star. Taught JROTC classes after that in Memphis. He fought in WW2, Korea and Vietnam. My understanding is by Vietnam he was probably not actually fighting. But I know one of his Purple Hearts came from Korea.
Taught at the high school Larry Finch played at (starred at Memphis State and later coached there). He was skipping classes and my grandfather was going to flunk him. School freaked out but he wouldn't budge. Finch became a good student (at least for the JROTC class) and kept in touch with him until he died. My Mom said he would often seek his advice because he was one of the few people that wouldn't kiss his arse.
They tell me he loved being around me. I really don't remember much at all. One of his favorite things was to watch Westerns and horror/monster movies with me. Funny how I still get a weird déjà vu in the old black and whites.
I really wish I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with him.
