492 sq feet is ridiculous, but I lived (alone) for a while in 1152 and I felt like I had just the right amount, maybe even too much. I would definitely never need more for just myself. With partner, 1500 is ideal IMO

I grew up in a tiny home in NBR.

It was called being poor.

It's called a trailer.
All the square feet you can put on wheels with Elvis print in the living room, faux gold
Trim, and mirror ceiling.

Edit don't laugh my friend sold mfg homes in a minority area. The #1 trim package was faux dark wood trim with gold , mirror on ceiling in the livingroom, and laminate counter top that looked almost like tiger stripes. Black faux leather living room set included from the factory. I believe Horton out of Georgia made those tiny homes.

You have pictures of your place by chance? Just curious what it looks like.

I'll second that request.

I cooked chicken and 40 garlic one night and our 1400 sq ft house stunk for over a week. I can't imagine doing that in space a quarter that size.

I don't get the tiny house craze, especially for how expensive they are. And they're not that mobile. If for some reason you have (want) to have mobility like that, why not buy a camper that is designed for maximum usage?

That article is ridiculous. My now wife and I lived together in a 480 sqft apartment for 2 years. It's fairly normal to live in that size or smaller in NYC.

Every time I see my sister watching tv it seems to either be Tiny House Hunters or My 600 Pound Life. Dear God I want a crossover episode. Nothing but canned hams grunting and trying to get around each other.
