Southern Spot Back Spider.

That's a female.

The males are smaller and stay hidden on the underside of mattresses only coming out late at night.

You live in Louisiana? I saw dem frickers everywhere growing up in Louisiana we called them banana spiders but I don't know the scientific name.

this has been my experience with these big bastards...that web is big enough to stretch acros a road or shooting lane and will wrap your arse up when you pass through...
