ive spent plenty of good time in blackhawks and chinooks

sat at the last seat inside a chinook during the winter time in the mountains of afghanistan, the back was open. the view was unbelievable but damn it was cold

The answer is Blackhawk. Talk to old guys and it is Huey. But they are wrong. The size and power of the Hawk makes it a better platform. As far as the Osprey, great concept but too damn loud. Dropping me off 2 clicks from the target doesn't offset getting me there faster.

Canceled back in 2004. DOD came to the conclusion that it was more cost effective to upgrade/expand the current rotary fleet platforms and build a shite ton of drones.

Apache Longbow or the Hind. The Hind was a beast. There is some famous quote from an Afghan fighter that said something to the effect that we don't fear the Russians but we fear their helicopters.

The Pave Low is pretty great. One flew over my house a couple of weeks ago coming back from Houston I'm guessing and it shook my house for 4 minutes.

You had to be a little crazy to fly a chopper driven by a piston engine.
