Leaving for the beach Saturday and I've gotten lots of bad reports on timing to get to Florida. If I leave early enough, can I miss some of the traffic? Or is that virtually impossible?

Take I-10 to 510 to 90 to 604 to 607 TO I-10.

I didn't have a problem going east as much as going west. Definitely have to take the by pass around Slidell area or you are seriously f'ed. Had a friend stuck for 2 hours to go 5-6 miles.

We left last Wednesday and had no problems whatsoever going there last week. From what I understand they only are doing it on the weekends. If it is there then the route tiger dude gave you is definitely the best way to go.
