Probably average two a month. Used to absolutely drain them when I was a kid/teen. Still love them but they are straight shite for the body. Only time I occasionally drink them now is when I'm out to eat or camping.

Same here. Child of the 80s. Parents back then didn't get upset if you were 7-8 years old drinking a soda...they got pissed if you opened a can and didn't finish it and left it someplace and went and opened a new can

I remember that.

Mainly for me it was if I drank 10 sodas I needed to refill the fridge with 10 more from the pantry. That was the big rule.

We had that rule as well. Growing up poor our panty was full of the cheap 12 packs of Winn Dixie Chek drinks. Although Dr. Chek was legit.

A couple years ago I finally convinced my parents and younger siblings to stop drinking so many sodas every day. I'm still working on them to stop drinking so much sweet tea.

The people who never drank soda or haven't had any in several years.....were you raised in a family that drank a lot of soda?

My husband doesn't drink soda at all...he grew up drinking water and milk and on occasion kool aid as a child. To this day he doesn't drink soda (except for an occasional root beer a few times a year, only type of soda he likes).

Don't know on average, but we don't really keep soda in the house. I'll drink it on vacations or at a restaurant sometimes. Otherwise, I drink water all day, maybe a coffee. I can't stand the taste of diet soda at all so I just drink the real stuff in strict moderation. I probably haven't had one in a couple weeks.

It's been more than 10 years or so since I've had a carbonated soft drink or a sweet tea.

I try to balance that by drinking mass quantities of cold beer.

I drank one back in September 2005. It was in Tanzania and Fanta was all that was available. It wasn't bad, it's just that the fact that a drink is fizzy and sugary doesn't do much for me.

about 3 per month. Just not my thing. Water and coffee mostly and a vodka martini once a week.

You must live in Dallas. Topo Chico has gotten huge... Kind of a cool, hipster vibe they have created in a short amount of time. Good product. Check out Penafiel if you want something similar with more flavor variety.

I've switched to flavored unsweetened sparkling water. It's much better for me than soda but it doesn't have sugar or calories. Only negative is a slightly more acidic PH so you can't drink like six a day.

Canada Dry Sparkling water, Schweppes sparkling water, and Lacroix are all great and each company has different flavors.

Why am I being down voted for referring to sparkling water?
