What is the latest OT sentiment on circumcision for infant male children?

I recall a few years back that most were in favor of it, and some uncircumcised males felt strongly that it is needless genital mutilation.

If you were to have a son this year, would you have him circumcised, and why?

Sorry if this was recently discussed. I actually searched, and I see a huge thread from like 2012. Isn't the statute of limitations 3 years?

I mean yeah?

Because he doesn't need to be made fun of for having dick lint when he's in athletics in high school.

CAD's poor kid has an anteater dick... I think it's cruel to make a kid grow up with such a monstrosity

haha, I was going to put it in those terms. I take it you mean circumcision is still frat?

That is important to me at damn near 40 years old, having gone to a college that didn't even have frats.

Yes.
1) cosmesis
2) reduced lifetime risk of penile cancer
3) reduced risk of lifetime UTI, primarily in the first year of life
4) reduced risk of STD transmission.

You can get it cut off now by a doctor with a very sharp blade, or have it rip as a teenager by some overzealous hoe giving out handjobs in the backseat of his friend's car.

And he drives around on re-treaded tires. CAD obviously hates his kid.

I do feel like this was discussed a week or so ago. Don't remember the thread though.

We see a lot of babies that come in for UTIs and are hospitalized for IV antibiotics. For the males we see with UTIs....majority of them are uncircumcised.

Recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics to lessen risk of cancer and recommended by me to lessen risk of grossing out white females.
