This is in no way a flame or to spit any hatred at all toward the African American community. I agree that there is a systemic problem and I have no answer to the problems.

BUT, What is the end goal for the BLM movement? I get that they are upset about the way the police treat black people but it doesnt seem like they have any actual end game in mind when coordinating their actions.

During the civil rights movement in the 1960s it was clear what Dr, King and the African American Community wanted. They wanted equality just as the BLM movement today but they had a plan in place to get that equality. They made it known which laws they wanted abolished and which laws they needed put in place to insure their equality. The BLM movement just seems to be creating chaos for the sake of chaos.

The other thing that Dr. King seemed to understand that the BLM movement doesnt seem to get is that in order to create change, you need to make allies, not just enemies. If you never reach across the aisle and work with your opposition, change will never come.

I dont claim to be any expert on this situation and I could be dead wrong in everything that I have typed but it just seems to me that a righteous cause is going to waste because the leadership is more intent on division than cohesion.

World domination or reparations.

Whichever comes first.

in the beginning, this was the goal or what the original "movement" was supposed to try and accomplish

that has all been hijacked now though

that sums up their approach, no appeasement, atonement, or reparation is ever enough, they just move on to bitching about something else

There really isn't a goal (like almost all leftist movements). Their entire existence is based on victimhood status. If that goes away, so does their movement.

I mean, someone just posted a thread of how they interrupted a gay pride parade and said the LGBTQ community is historically anti-black for Christ's sake.

It's leaders to become or be put in powerful positions. That's the only end game I see.

That's why I don't even get the protests in other cities. Do you want the national police commissioner to issue a statement saying no cop will ever shoot a black person again ?

That graphic is the most coherent and somewhat feasible thing that I have seen in the 3 years or so of this "crisis". Sure it would take a lot of work and there would have to be changes in mindsets and infrastructure of the police but all of those points are direct and concise and would lend to helping the problem. The issue with that would be getting people on both sides to buy in and truly work toward the solution.

I asked this same question on the PT board and no one could come up with a solid answer. Other movements have had some sort of attainable end goals, whether it be the right to vote or end segregation. It seems like this one is just an excuse to gather, drank purp, and record the police on their cell phones. At what point do they say "ok, we're satisfied, time to wrap it up?"

What exactly is the systemic problem?

The Bureau of Justice Statistics clearly show that the real problem is Black on Black crime. Police are not over represented in homicide statistics involving blacks.

It is a fricking lie.

In the 60's, they fought for equal opportunity, and rightfully so.

Today they are fighting for equal outcome, and that is absurd.
