About 10 years ago it seemed that I was one of the few people I knew who had divorced parents, but now things have drastically changed.

I'd say about 80% of my good friends have parents who are divorced.

Of our core group of friends, all of their parents are still together.

Less than 10% of my close friends before college. Maybe 40-50% of my college buddies have separated parents.

As an adult man, I don't have any "close friends". But of co-workers and people I see daily at the bar, I don't know anyone whose parents aren't divorced or widowed. Marriage just isn't meant to last that long.

Its WAY lower than average, almost all of my friends parents are together. I didn't have any good friends I can think of with divorced parents as a kid.

Possibly you have a new set of friends today as opposed to ten years ago?

Most of my good friends in high school had divorced parents, including myself. I've thought about this a lot because we are all still pretty close, and I always wonder if that is one of the reasons why we all became good friends.

Growing up, I was pretty much the only one in my group of friends whose parents were divorced. College wasn't much different.

Seems like the older I get, the more prevalent it is among extended friends and colleagues. My parents and my wife's parents were both divorced, so there's that.
