What is the biggest lie you ever caught someone in?

I ran into a childhood friend today. Good dude now, but when we were in our early teens this cat use to lie like a dead hamster. When some Jordans came out he told everybody he owned a pair of them in each color.. Someone saw that cat at the shoe store (it was a sports store in a small town) exchanging the pair he bought for the other color. He didn't know they saw him and that same day he came around and was like "this is the other pair". Dude use to also talk about getting a go-cart every year for Christmas and after about 3 years of saying he was getting one but never did, he told everyone he finally got it but his parents made him keep it at his grandma's house and he would never be able to show anyone.
