I am going to be selling a used car in about 3 weeks. I need to sell it within 3 weeks after listing it.

What is the best way to get a quick sale while getting the most for my car?

Just drop it off on Scenic Highway in fourth district and you'll have it taken off your hands in no time.

We put ours on craigslist recently and literally within 20 minutes I had two calls and two texts. The two who called came out that night to see it. It was sold and we had money in our hands within 4 hours of listing it.

So yeah... Craigslist.

What kind of car was it?

Wacky inflatable tube flailing arm man would draw so much attention to your sweet ride.

An old Sentra. Got just a little less than asking price... But was 300 more than we agreed would be our rock bottom. Also got more than blue book for it.

Won't hurt to put info in to car max and just see what their offer is

There is no doubt it will be lower than what you'd get offered on CL but it maybe worth it to you

Well the blue book thing confuses me a little. I have a 2003 lexus es300. It has 117000 miles.

According to what the kelley blue book site says, It is between good and very good. Which is around 6,800.

I was thinking about pricing it lower though, because i need to sell quickly.

Should I price it at the Blue book? Or do people usually price higher?

I'd at least price it at the blue book. People are going to try and low ball you.

Blue book was right in the middle of what we were asking and what rock bottom was for us. We weren't in a HUGE rush though... We probably could have gotten more. We were just tired of it sitting in our driveway. So if I were in your shoes I'd probably put it a little more and leave room to negotiate...like the other poster said, 7000 OBO would be a good idea/

Another thing. The only thing separating my car from Good to Very good is a small dent ( about 6 inches across and 1/4 inch deep on the rear quarter panel drivers side).

And a broken clip on the regulator for the drivers side rear window.

Since both of these things can be fixed on the cheap, do you think i should fix them my self? Or do you think i should just sell it as is?

Remember, time is a factor.

What is "blue book?"

Trade in?
Retail?
Wholesale?

How to fix a dent yourself

We did this to a huge dent in the front bumper (someone hit a deer). Worked perfectly. We got a heat gun with adjustable settings and put it on the one for plastic. It was $40 at home depot and took about 20 minutes. But yeah I would definitely recommend fixing at least that. Ours sold with window that was off its track so you couldn't roll it down, but it was in the back so the girl didn't care.

My dent has a tiny bit of rust on one side. I got an estimate of $400 to make it like new. And I really don't have time( because I need it 6 days a week ) to fix it before I need to sell it.

Thats why I was thinking about listing the car for about 6000.
800 less than the blue book.

I put my purple and gold Lambo on craigslist. I've had hundreds of hits in just a couple of days.

I sold mine here LINK / and got a great deal. Not only that, they picked up my car and paid me on the same day. Highly recommended! Be ready to describe your vehicle and give important details like your vehicle’s make, model, year, mileage, etc.
