What is the best over the counter sleep aids?

I go through bouts of insomnia . I' be tried several but none seems to help, hoping someone here has something I haven't tried......what ya got?

most all are benadryl based....diphenhydramine
one that is not is Unisom sleep TABS...doxylamine succinate
works pretty good for me and not as much groggy mornings

Also, stop drinking.....it keeps you up and prevents good nights sleep. Otherwise, keep drinking and prepare for it

Try working out on a regular basis. That alone can often do wonders for your sleeping habits.

I work out some at home, I'm older then most on here(50) both my parents are in their 80's and are in poor health. Dad is on home hospice and my mom has severe heart problems. That combined with my family/ work.... It's like it starts running through my mind and I can forget about sleep

melatonin is usually good to help people relax. Your body produces it naturally

Pop a couple of instant release melatonin. One 20mg extended release melatonin and bust a nut.

Melatonin works great. Also, try no carbs after 2 pm. When I nkncarb at night, I sleep like the dead.

What I love about melatonin is that it is something your body produces naturally and there is no hangover the next morning. It doesn't actually put you to sleep. It tells your brain it is time to turn off and relax.
