What does giving a truck a slight front end lift do?

I hear about guys giving their truck a slight front end lift. Does it make it higher?

I mentioned last week that I'm needing new tires for my F150 and would like to possibly give it a slight lift but have no idea how much is a good lift or what the pros/cons are.

Lifting the front would make it higher, in my opinion.

But just the front, not the back.

2.5 Rough Coubtry leveling kit will level your truck out
2 inch leveling kit won't level it and 3 inch leveling kit will frick up the four wheel drive

It's only half price if you do it that way?

They look stupid when they don't maintain the rake.

Make sure you put a high intensity light bar capable of lighting the field at the Superdome on the front under the grill to burn the retinas of everyone in front of you on I-10. Blind them for being in front of you, a capital sin.

It levels the truck giving it more curb appeal. Trucks naturally be slant down toward the front.

What's the biggest tire you can go with on a 2.5" lift and not have rubbing?

What about the biggest tire without a lift and no rubbing? Id like to fill in the well as much as possible.

If your f150 is 4x4 you can put 35" tires on with a 2.5" or 33" with no lift. My f150 had 18" wheels, my tire size was 305/65/r18 which is a 34"X11.5" tire. Personally I would stick to 33's regardless, to minimize fuel efficiency loss and save on wear & tear.

I have a 2wd and run 275/70r18. No rubbing. Comes out to about 33" X 11". Looks good too

Edit: I used to have 305/55r20 and had slight rubbing at full turn but it was nothing serious. My current set up doesn't stick out past the wheel well though so it cuts down on all the dirt getting thrown up on the sides of my truck bed.

I've always put a 2-1/2" leveling kit on mine. What does it do? Well for one it looks a heck of a lot better IMO and gives your front end a lot more clearance.

Shouldn't you be trying to get the oil off your concrete?

I just looked up the auto spring 2.5". Price is around $90. Not bad.

I would think it'd make my truck just look better to the eye. How much does a 2.5" lift mess with gas mileage, if at all?
