It's not something I would listen to on purpose, but I enjoy it. Heard similar music on Netflix's "Marco Polo", which had plenty of good music.

It's pretty interesting. It isn't the first time I have heard of throat singing. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones featured Kongor-ol Ondar on one of their live albums. He performed Alesh Khem, which is apparently a traditional folk song, and also feautured background to the song A Moment So Close which was an interesting blend of that traditional style of singing with a more poppy sounding song.
