If working properly, they should be able to display the correct time.

I have one. I like it.

It's good, for a Suunto style outdoor watch. If you need a fairly hard use watch with outdoor capabilities, they're great. I wouldn't buy one for an everyday watch though.

Depends on what you're looking for.

The Ambit series are excellent multisport watches and what I would have bought had I had the extra cash.

The reviews on the Core series are all over the place. Yes they look cool, yes they have some pretty neat features, but I've also heard they eat battery if you're using them a lot. Also non rechargeable.

They're no match for this solar powered beast.

Have a friend who wore one for 13 months in Afg and it still worked when he got back. Must be HD.

Have one, great for trail running, leaves Garmins in the dust, a little wonky to get through screens, but can do a ton of shite. Love the watch. Great to track your workouts, cycling, running, swimming, kayaking whatever. With footpods you can even calibrate your pace and get your distance in cover where satellites wont accurately track you.

I've had a Core and currently have a Vector. They alright. Heard the same things about the batteries dying but never had a problem. Battery died on my Core after a couple of years. No problem to change out as they pop out of the back of the watch. Still on the same battery in my Vector since I got it new in 2013.

Had the same Core as above. Here's the Vector I have now.

I have owned an original model Ambit HR for at least a couple of years now. I love it. It has been on many backcountry adventures with me and I use it almost everyday for training.

A few issues worth noting:

I did have to return it one time so far. One of the buttons was sticking when I would press it in. They fixed up up and returned it in a timely manner.

The other issue is one that wouldn't personally stop me from buying a Suunto but it would be a nice feature. There is no offline app to offload data too. I forget the exact details but people were comparing it to the features of the Garmin app. Also, I believe Suunto now has a Apple app but no Android yet. Again, nothing that bothers me but something to look into.

Dunno about watches but they make damn good dive computers. I use one as my day to day watch on dive trips. Solid
